1 / 24
Written by Isaac Watts to accompany his sermon on 1 Corinthians 3:22 ("Whether Life or Death, All are yours"), this six-stanza hymn was published in his Sermons (1721–1724, vol. iii, No. 39) with the title "The Right Improvement of Life." It saw limited congregational use, though an altered version was included in The New Congregational Hymn Book (No. 488).
