"Am I a soldier of the Cross?" is a hymn on holy fortitude by Isaac Watts, appended to his published Sermons (1721–1724, vol. iii) to accompany a discourse on 1 Corinthians 16:13. It consists of six four-line stanzas.

The hymn became widely used in both Great Britain and North America. In Charles Spurgeon's Our Own Hymn Book, stanzas five and six are omitted. A revised opening, "Are we the soldiers of the Cross?", appeared as early as the Leeds Hymn Book (1853) and was adopted in the New Congregational Hymn Book and William Snepp's Songs of Grace and Glory (1872).
