Joseph P. Bartrum was an American author who published The Psalms newly Paraphrased for the Service of the Sanctuary in Boston in 1833. Believed to have been a Unitarian, Bartrum contributed several psalm paraphrases that entered Unitarian collections in Great Britain and the United States, including his rendering of Psalm 106, "O from these visions, dark and drear," and his paraphrase of Psalm 87, "Amid the heaven of heavens."
