"Alle Christen singen gerne" is an eighteenth-century German hymn on the theme of love to Christ. Composed in eleven twelve-line stanzas, it was included as entry number 953 in Johann Jakob Gottschaldt's Universal Gesang-Buch (Leipzig, 1737) and later reprinted in the Universal Lieder-Schatz (1851).
An altered four-stanza version reading "hören" instead of "singen" appeared in the Berlin Gesang-Buch in 1829. The text was translated into English by Dr. Henry Mills under the title "All with Jesus are delighted," published in his Sacred Hymns from the German (1845).
