"All things praise Thee, Lord most high" is a hymn of praise written by Congregationalist minister George William Conder. Composed in six six-line stanzas, it was published in 1874 in his Appendix to the Leeds Hymn Book of 1853 (No. 6).
The hymn became popular across several Christian denominations, largely due to its vivid word-painting, a characteristic element of Conder's prose and poetry. Compilers frequently abridged the text for liturgical use. In Godfrey Thring's Collection (1882, No. 249), the third and fourth stanzas were omitted to produce a shorter, more direct narrative.
