"Almighty God, Thy Name I praise" is a children's hymn of thanksgiving written by Dorothy Ann Thrupp. Titled "Praise to God for Mercies," it was published in her Hymns for the Young (circa 1830, No. 63) in three four-line stanzas.

The text was subsequently included in Mrs. Herbert Mayo's Selection of Hymns and Poetry for Use in Infant and Juvenile Schools (1838) with the initials "D. A. T." It gained widespread entry into children's collections, including the Church Sunday School Hymn Book (1868).
