"All we like wandering sheep have strayed" is an anonymous Passiontide hymn set in four four-line stanzas. The earliest known publication of the text is Thomas Mount Fallow's Selection of Hymns for Public and Private Use (London, 1847, No. 58), where it was designated for Good Friday.
In 1852, the text was reprinted as No. 103 in The English Hymnal with an added doxology. R. H. Kennedy included this expanded version in his 1863 collection Hymnologia Christiana (No. 600), adjusting the third line of the second stanza to read: "Yet uncomplaining still He stands."
