"All things bright and beautiful" is a celebrated children's hymn written by Cecil Frances Alexander. First published in her 1848 collection Hymns for Little Children, the text was composed in seven four-line stanzas to illustrate the phrase "Maker of Heaven and Earth" from the Apostles' Creed.
The hymn achieved immense popularity throughout the English-speaking world. It has been consistently reprinted in its original form across hundreds of Anglican, Protestant, and non-denominational hymnals, including Godfrey Thring's 1882 Collection.
