"All the night and nothing taken" is a hymn written by Dean Henry Alford for Sunday school teachers and missionary contexts. Composed in three six-line stanzas, it was published in his Year of Praise (1867, No. 167) and appointed for the Fifth Sunday after Trinity, drawing its theme from the gospel reading of that day (St. Luke 5:1–11).

The hymn was later reprinted in Charles Vincent Snepp's Songs of Grace and Glory (1872, No. 771).
