"All praise to Thee, who didst command" is an original hymn by Bishop Richard Mant written as a thanksgiving for an apostolic ministry. Composed in six four-line stanzas, it was first published in his 1837 work Ancient Hymns (No. 67).
The text was later adopted in several nineteenth-century Anglican hymnals, including Thomas Fallow's Selection of Hymns for Public and Private Use (1847) and the Cooke and Denton Hymnal (1853), where it was designated for St. Matthias' Day. The original text was republished in Rivington's 1871 edition of Ancient Hymns.
