Hymns about Second Coming

The Second Coming is the sure return of the Lord Jesus Christ in glory. Scripture teaches that this same Jesus, which is taken up into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go. The church lives between ascension and appearing, watching in hope and laboring in love. Hymns of the Second Coming lift eyes from present shadows to the day when every eye shall see Him.

This doctrine gathers comfort and solemnity together. Believers look for Eternal Life and the joy of Heaven; they also remember that the day of the Lord brings Judgment for the unrepentant.
