Aus Lieb' verwundter Jesu mein. 16th century. [Holy Communion] This appears in the Christlich-Catholisches Gesangbuch (Paderborn edition, 1726, p. 263) in 16 stanzas of 4 lines, among the hymns for Corpus Christi, as "A Sigh of Love to Jesus." In the Geistreiches Gesangbuch (Berlenburg, 1720, No. 90) it has 9 stanzas. In the Trier Gesangbuch (1846, p. 120) it is in 6 stanzas. It has been translated as:

O Jesu, pierced for love of me. In full from the Trier Gesangbuch, signed "Sister M.," in Lyra Eucharistica, 1863, p. 252, and thence as No. 535 in The People's Hymnal, 1867.
