Sent Forth by God’s Blessing is a well-loved post-communion and closing hymn that emphasizes the inseparable connection between worship and daily Christian living. Written by Omer Westendorf in the mid twentieth century, the hymn reflects a pastoral concern that the gathered Church should not view worship as an end in itself, but as a sending into the world for faithful service.
