The New Metrical Version of the Psalms
The New Metrical Version of the Psalms most commonly refers to the 1909 psalter prepared by a joint committee of several North American Presbyterian and Reformed denominations. This version was a major collaborative effort intended to modernize the language of the 1650 Scottish Metrical Psalter while remaining faithful to the original Hebrew text.
