Birth Year: 1854
Death Year: 1925
William Henry Clark was born on April 8, 1854, in Racine, Wisconsin. In infancy, his family returned to New York State, where his mother soon passed away. His father remarried a close friend of his late wife, who, after William’s conversion in 1873, predicted that he would one day become a bishop.

He was also a member of the joint commission of the Free and Wesleyan Methodist Churches, which compiled the Hymnal of 1910, to which he contributed several items.
He passed away in office on November 8, 1925, in Rome, New York, and requested no eulogy at his funeral, demonstrating his humble and devoted character.
